Man in the Mirror Ministry

People Need to hear; There is HOPE
Jail Ministry - by Jody Price
Another year is over and the Spirit of God is on the move. The jail ministry is beginning to reciprocate and men & women are learning how to have a relationship with their Father and each other. I’m amazed, yet again, at the transforming power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Once a person hears the message of hope and then experience transformation it falls upon the body of believers to disciple and teach. Who will teach them? Where will they go?
It is my desire to see a ministry that would bold enough to pick up the burden of the incarcerated families, not preparing for the return of a loved one but dealing with the absence of a loved one. It is almost futile to get a person saved and then return them to a “lost” household. I pray that God moves upon the hearts of men and women everywhere to consider funding such a ministry with a monthly pledge or one time offering. Contact myself or Pastor Jim Grounds at the location listed below for more information on how to help. “Jailhouse religion” exists due to the lack of a complete work by the body of Christ. Please join us in the mission of again completing what our Lord Jesus Christ has begun.

VISION
Our ministry is about changing lives forever. We believe through discipleship (teaching how to live the word of God) getting people off the streets and into a home and caring environment with HOPE these people lives will change. We work to teach people to lead productive lives by the word of God. We believe that given a chance to be shown love and given help with a place to live outside away from the old friends and bad influences lives will change. There are those whose lives have changed and are productive citizens in this city by being shown the Love of Jesus. Many have been lost in the past because they go back to their old friends for help (because the traditional church turned them away) they end up right back where they started on drugs and increasing the crime rate. We know that by providing a second chance and teaching life skills, (how to -job interview, fill out applications, how to budget and live in your means, how to study and plan for the future, lives will change. Our vision is to help the hurting and lost by showing the love of Jesus by finding them a place to live, finding them a job and providing them transportation to and from work. We work at getting those in bondage help through rehab centers and discipleship. It*s our vision to see these men and women become productive citizens which we believe will lower the crime rate in our city. We must show the love of Jesus and help our neighbor. Jesus said the greatest commandment was to love the Lord with all our body, soul, mind and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself.
